I was having a chat with a Stuckinatruck member last week, and actually moaning about my inability to get the last few pounds off to hit target…I have been bouncing around 16 stone for 10 weeks and feel like I have stalled.
I asked my Slimming World Leader if she thought I could get to target, or, because I am faffing around, did that suggest I was at Target and should I just stop and be happy!
Toni's response was that I could definitely get there, and not quit on myself … she was genuinely supportive and really seemed to understand where I was at …
This has nothing to do with money, I am happy to keep paying, and she is as determined to get me to target, as I am to get me there … so I asked for help…
Her answer was Extra Easy SP, I have done weeks of this before and found it really effective.
So when I was talking to John, saying I was going to hit it hard … his question was
How does that look then?
Extra Easy SP …What does that Look Like ?
#1 fill your plate only with S and P foods (speed and protein from the stuckinatruck food list).
- This means no
- Muller Lights,
- or other regular free foods.
There are so many S and P foods to choose from, so this doesn’t mean limiting yourself to munching on rabbit food and chicken!
If you’re not sure which foods are S and P,
#2 STILL have your 5-15 syns every day. You don’t cut those out, so continue
- eating some chocolate
- and drinking a beer,
- maybe a cake
- maybe a knob of butter on your pasta
- however you chose to get the most of your syns.
Don't deprive your body of sugar, or any other nice reward food, if you do, then when you go back to the standard plan you’d pile the weight back on!
Remember though, don’t just eat regular free food and syn them away, you will not have the correct syn value and it really defeats the point of doing the Easy SP plan!.
#3 You must have your Healthy Extra A option every day, and, 2 Healthy Extra B choices!
This means that even though you’ve cut out the pasta, rice and potatoes from your diet for a few days, you could have
- 2 HiFi Bars
- 4 slices of bread,
- MEASURED cereals like oats,
Most importantly this means you are NOT cutting carbs out from your diet. This is a big misconception with EESP, that you cut carbs, and that’s just not the case. Slimming World never asks you to cut a food group out of your diet, ever
When Should I Do An Extra Easy SP Day?
There is no right or wrong answer to this.. many people do the EE SP days to boost their weight loss if you have hit a wall or if you feel excessively bloated. Often people feel the EE SP works better for them than any other days so choose to include more in their diet.
How Long Should I Stay On Extra Easy SP?
If you want to rapidly speed up your weight loss you could try it for a full week between weigh ins … ( Stay Off TheScales during the week )
Then drop off for a week, and revert to standard Plan.
All this said, everyone is different.. try it for 2 days, and see how your body reacts…
Extra Easy SP Tips
- Definitely eat your TWO Healthy Extra B allowance. You will soon become constipated if you don't.
- Plan your meals in advance as usual it can be very easy to revert back to normal plan.
- I always have my book handy or keep the Food page available so you can quickly see what you can eat.
- If you are really struggling with the plan, I do not think this will help as it is more intense, get your head in the game first.
SoThis is going in hard I believe it takes a lot of discipline to stick to this… but for me It deffo works
Start simply and move forward… I know it can be hard… but I spent far too many years avoiding failure simply by doing nothing… and thereby failed by default.
